Rico: AI Wingman ("Rico", "the app") is a product of NapTime Labs LLC ("we", "our", "the company"). Rico is a mobile app that suggests replies and opening messages for dating conversations using artificial intelligence. We keep the data we handle to a minimum and explain all of it below.
Device identifier. When you first open the app, it generates a random identifier (UUID) stored on your device. It is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any account. We use it only to track your usage and subscription status.
IP address. Your IP address is logged with each request to prevent abuse. It is not shared with anyone for marketing or advertising.
Screenshots and text you submit. When you ask Rico for a reply or an opener, the screenshot or text you choose (a conversation, a profile, or anything you type) is sent to OpenAI to generate suggestions. We do not store your screenshots or the text of your messages on our servers.
Usage metadata. For each request we record the length of your message (not the message itself), whether you added extra context, the number of AI tokens used, and a timestamp. This helps us run the service, monitor costs, and prevent abuse.
Subscription status. We store whether your device has an active subscription, which plan you bought, and when it expires. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple and never reach our servers.
Onboarding answers. The questions you answer when you first open the app stay on your device. They are not sent to our servers.
OpenAI. Screenshots and text you submit are sent to OpenAI's API to generate suggestions, and the app asks for your permission before the first one is sent. OpenAI processes this data under its privacy policy. Data sent through the API is not used to train OpenAI's models.
RevenueCat. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. It receives your anonymous device identifier and Apple purchase receipts. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Apple. Purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment information.
Usage metadata is kept for as long as it is needed to run the service and prevent abuse. Subscription records are kept while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see section 7).
All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Our backend runs on managed cloud infrastructure, and database access is restricted to our application.
Rico is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete any associated data.
We do not collect personal information tied to your identity. If you want your device identifier and its usage and subscription records removed, email us from the app's Settings screen or at the address below, and we will process the request within 30 days.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
